My Priorities for Loyalist Township

Thoughtful growth. Responsible decisions. A community that works for everyone.

I believe Loyalist Township can grow while protecting what residents value about living here. My priorities are guided by responsible planning, open communication and the long-term well-being of our community.

Balanced Growth

Support responsible housing development for residents at every stage of life.

Attract new businesses and industries to create employment opportunities and help diversify Loyalist Township’s property tax base.

Green Spaces and Community Well-Being

Protect existing green spaces and incorporate new ones as the Township develops.

Support community gardens and resident-led projects that strengthen people’s connection to the natural environment.

Fiscal Responsibility

Look for practical efficiencies in Township operations.

Manage public resources carefully and prioritize projects that provide the greatest benefit to residents.

Open and Effective Communication

Provide residents with timely information and regular updates about infrastructure projects and Township decisions.

Listen to community input, communicate clearly and make responsive customer service a priority.

Meet Jennifer

I am an engaged Odessa resident, active community volunteer and communications professional with more than 40 years of experience.

Since making Loyalist home, I have become involved in the community through volunteer work and service on two Township committees. These experiences have given me valuable insight into local priorities, resident concerns and municipal decision-making.

I am running for Ward 3 Councillor because I believe Loyalist has tremendous potential. I will bring a fresh perspective, listen carefully and approach decisions with an open mind. I am committed to communicating clearly with residents about the issues shaping our Township’s future.

What Guides Me

I am semi-retired, which gives me the time and flexibility to make serving Ward 3 a genuine priority. If elected, I will come to meetings prepared, stay informed, be available to residents and follow issues through.

I have been married to my husband, Jody, for 41 years. We have two grown children and four grandchildren. I also continue to work in investor relations and business development with an animal-health company.

Good decisions begin with listening carefully to residents and considering different perspectives.

I believe local government should be open, responsive and committed to decisions that serve the common good.

Ask Necessary Questions

I will approach decisions with an open mind, question established practices and make sure residents understand where I stand.

Voting Information

Make your voice heard in the 2026 Loyalist Township Municipal Election.

VOTING PERIOD

Voting Opens: October 17 at 10:00 a.m.

Voting Closes: October 26 at 8:00 p.m.

HOW TO VOTE

Vote securely by internet or telephone using the voting information supplied by Loyalist Township. There will be no paper ballots in the 2026 Loyalist Township Municipal Election.

NEED ASSISTANCE?

Voter Help Centres will be available at various locations and times during the voting period. Election staff will be able to assist residents with the electronic voting process.

Locations and operating hours will be published by Loyalist Township when confirmed.

You must be on the Voters’ List to cast a ballot. Beginning September 1, residents can contact Loyalist Township to confirm or update their voter information.
